Corsair CX600M Power Supply Review
Conclusion and Rating
Starting with the build quality and design of the CX600M we have a unit which is clearly trying to walk a line between quality and value. In many ways we get a decent level of build such as the majority of capacitors being 105°C or decent soldering, adhesive use etc. At the same time the brands used may not be the best around and the chassis is a little more flimsy when taken apart than the higher priced models.
What can’t really be faulted is the performance provided for the price range. The CX600M gives is decent readings across the board with efficiency and ripple being particularly impressive. It is also fair to say that Corsair have managed to find a nice balance of features to go with this performance by adding in modular cables… something which makes building a PC a much easier and more tidy process.
So that brings us to value where the CX600M at $79.99 offers a great entry point to modular use without heavily compromising on quality to keep costs down. The 3-year warranty also adds some peace of mind to the purchase of a "budget" PSU.

I have a Corsair CX600 V3 non modular unit, I have to say I was very impressed with the build quality and most importantly the specifications, 46amps and 552watts on the 12v rail is better than any other 600watt PSU in it’s price range. And CWT on it’s own makes a fine PSU, And with Corsair’s modifications makes this a even better quality unit. I have used mine for close to a year now. And I am running a 3rd Gen i5 3470 Overclocked at 3.8GHZ and a HIS R9 270 iPower IceQ X² Overclocked at 1150mhz/1525mhz, And all is smooth and stable, The fan never ramps up on the PSU even under gaming load so the PSU has plenty of power to spare. I highly recommend this PSU over any other 600watt model.
