Tt eSPORTS Theron Gaming Mouse and Galeru Mouse Bungee Review

Recently took a look at the Tt eSPORTS SHOCK gaming headset, an entry level headset from their range of gaming peripherals. Overall we were impressed with how it delivered quality audio to gamers on a budget and it won our recommended award for that very reason. Today we’ll be taking a look at the Theron gaming mouse from the same range. The Theron mouse is aimed squarely at the real time strategy player with the mouse being promoted and design in partnership with Softball, the StarCraft 2 player from Tt’s professional gaming team, the Tt Apollos.

Along with the Theron we will also be looking at the Galeru, which is Tt eSPORTS mouse bungee. These helpful little accessories are becoming more frequent visitors to our test bench, so it will be interesting to see what Tt have come up with to separate them from the norm.

Packaging and Bundle

Tt eSPORTS Theron and Galeru packaging

The Theron and Galeru are both supplied in compact packages that feature a large picture of the devices on the front of the box.

As we mentioned the Galeru package features a large picture of the device on the front, giving us a very good idea of what the mouse bungee will look like. It also features the Tt eSPORTS logo. Turning to the rear of the package we find a short list of the key features of the product listed in a large number of languages.

As we take the Galeru out the package we see that it is supplied in a moulded plastic case which is further protected by a clear plastic sleeve. The bungee itself comes in two pieces… more on that later. In addition to the Galeru we have a warranty policy document which confirms that the Galeru comes with a standard 1 year plan.

Turning our attention to the Theron we find that it also features a large picture of the mouse on the front. Also on the front of the box we find a note of some of the key features of the mouse, such as the 128kb onboard memory or the battle mode feature. As noted earlier on the rear of the package we find the endorsement from Softball, the professional RTS gamer from Tt Apollo. There is also a note of some additional features, again presented in a number of languages.

The Theron package also features a flip front cover that we can open to see the mouse encased in a clear moulded plastic housing. On the inside of the front cover we find more information on the key features of the Theron, including the ability to switch DPI on the fly and a function lock button that disables the side buttons.

Along with the mouse Tt eSPORTS have included a carry case. Given that this mouse is aimed at RTS players who may be attending eSports events this is a nice touch. We also find a multi-language quick install guide, a CD containing the configuration software, a couple of Tt eSPORTS logo stickers and the warranty card. Tt eSPORTS provide a 2 year warranty on all their mice.
