OCZ Vector 150 SSD (240GB) Review

Over the past few months some of the major players in the SSD marketplace have been refreshing their product ranges, such as Samsung and their EVO release and Crucial moving into 1TB storage with the M500. Now it is OCZ turn with a refresh of their Vector range. The original Vector was class leading at launch (and is still does well today) so it will be interesting to see what this new revision gives us.

Packaging and Bundle

OCZ stick with familiar packaging on the Vector 150 which gives us a nice clear image of the drive and a note of the key features. Inside we get a caddy which allows us to install the product in 3.5" drive bays, screws to assist and product documentation.

Also "bundled", as always, with OCZ SSDs we get their SSD Toolbox. This application allows us to easily maintain and monitor the SSD in our system as well as updating the firmware if needed. In addition to this the Vector 150 also includes a copy of Acronis True Image which allows us to move data from our existing drive to the new SSD quickly and simply.
