ZOTAC ZBOX Nano ID68 Plus MiniPC Review
Although ZOTAC are best known for their impressive range of GeForce graphics cards they have, for some time now, been putting significant focus on mini-PCs. Selling under the ZBOX branding, right from their very first model, these mini systems were competitive and in more recent times ZOTAC have been able to fit some pretty impressive components into ever shrinking chassis.
Today ZOTAC expand their ZBOX range with a new model, the ID68-Plus. With i5 CPU, 4GB of memory and 500GB hard drive as standard mixed with easy upgrade potential and 4K support this palm sized system could be ideal for desktop and media use. Let’s find out…
Packaging and Bundle
ZOTAC package their latest ZBOX in a compact container which shares the design with older models and gives us a nice clear shot of the system on the front as well as noting key features. Inside we find the bundled items separated off into a sub box and the system is suspended in foam, wrapped in a plastic bag and to add further protection layers of sticky protective plastic are waiting to be peeled off.
Bundled with the system we get a stand which is used to mount our system on the back of a screen, Wi-Fi antenna, 65w PSU and product documentation/disc. As an added extra, and nod to how configurable the ZBOX is in ZOTAC’s eyes, we get a SATA card which allows us to install two mSATA drives in the unit (after removing the stock mechanical drive).
