Linksys EA6900 WiFi Smart Router AC1900 Review
Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Router EA6900 Review
Today on our test bench we will be taking a look at the new top of the range Wi-Fi router from Linksys (now part of the Belkin group) the EA6900. Boasting a range of high end features and supporting the latest 801.11AC standard this product looks to set itself apart from the competition.
Packaging and Bundle
The EA6900 is supplied in a medium sized package with a large graphic of the router on the front along with iconography which highlights the key features of the product.
Turning to the back of the package we find a handy guide which helps us ensure we have selected the right router for our needs. As we can see the top of the range EA6900 ticks all the boxes in terms of functionality, however it also highlights other products in the range in case the EA6900 is out with our budget.
The sides of the package show us a graphic of the rear of the router, which confirms the configuration of the ports. We also find a note which highlights that the EA6900 doesn’t require any software CD to set it up.
Opening the package we find the router securely held in place with cardboard packaging and protected by plastic wrapping. The external antennas are individually wrapped and the power block supplied is also wrapped in plastic.
Provided along with the router are an RJ45 cable as well as a quick start guide. Linksys have provided a CD which contains documentation that supports the EA6900. The power block supplied with the router is a medium sized one, which is nice given some of the power blocks we have seen recently.
