The V750 (RS-750-AMAA-G1)

Cooler Master use a matt black finish on the V-series and use minimal branding on each side. An information sticker is present and then on the opposite side we find the 12cm thermally controlled fan (Yate Loon). For outputs we have the native wiring output (braided cables) and to the left of that are four modular connectors. Then round at the exhaust we have a perforated surface with rocker switch and 3pin mains input.

The V750 measures 150x140x86mm and is Gold Efficiency certified which gives us over 90% efficiency (115v) and 92% (230V).  Cooler Master use a single 12v rail rated for 62A and the unit has an active PFC (>0.9typical). Then for protection technology we get the following on this range:

Over Current Protection (OCP), Over Voltage Protection (OVP), Under Voltage Protection (UVP), Short Circuit Protection (SCP), Over Power Protection (OPP) and Over Temperature Protection (OTP).

Cooler Master also note the use of Japanese capacitors within this unit (Panasonic, Nippon Chemi-Con 105c) as well as a design (3D Circuit) which enhanced efficiency, minimises temperatures and improves signal noise. We also note a dual DC-DC design for the 5v and 3.3v rails and full bridge topology.

Overall the build quality of the V750 is good with Cooler Master offering ok soldering and internal construction. The use of Japanese capacitors throughout the design is always appreciated and we like the nice compact chassis used here. Potentially Cooler Master could use even more modular cables (or less native if you like) to maximise the potential for tidy wiring but other than that and maybe a bit more braiding on those native cables there is little to fault.

In terms of performance the noise levels are low under normal use and efficiency good. We also get very good ripple results and the voltage regulation is strong. We also noted decent thermal performance too.

So that brings us to value where the 5-year warranty is worth noting. Past that it is very much worth shopping around in this segment. Priced appropriately it would be right at the top of our list on the semi-modular, gold certified PSU
