SanDisk, a global leader in flash memory storage solutions, has today partnered with ESL UK in an effort to help stimulate growth within the UK Dota 2 Community. The partnership will see regular prized competition exclusively for players with UK residency, with up to £1,000 to play for every month. At the end of each month the best eight teams will be invited to a monthly final where they can play for the largest chunk of the prize pool, broadcasted live to Twitch TV from the ESL UK Studios.

“We’re thrilled to be working with SanDisk on the Go4 Dota2 UK project. Over the past six months we’ve been engaging with the UK Dota 2 community, and are excited that SanDisk are enabling us to continue our commitment to its growth”, Explains Peter Mather, Community Manager for ESL UK. “The Go4 Dota2 UK competition series will be one of the first serious regular prized competitions for the professional gamers of tomorrow, aimed solely at UK talent base, and we’re glad that SanDisk can be a part of it.”
The competition is set to go live at the start of August, and will feature four prized qualification cups, leading to the monthly final for the top eight teams. Sign-ups for the first month of competition are expected to open up before the end of July.

Dinesh Bahal, vice president of retail product marketing, SanDisk said:

“SanDisk is excited to work with a leading eSports gaming provider like ESL to help power the premium gameplay markets. Our new SanDisk Extreme PRO provides consistent, pro-level performance to an audience where lag-free, unrelenting gameplay is paramount. Together with ESL we can better deliver these solutions to gamers who don’t accept compromise.”
