Microsoft will close its Zune music subscription service on November 15. The company has announced users will no longer be able to stream or download content from Zune at that point. Content that was purchased with DRM will be playable only if its license can be renewed.
Zune Music Pass subscribers are going to be transferred to Microsoft Groove, which works on the Xbox One, Windows 10, Android, and iOS.
Existing Zune devices and MP3s you own should work fine after Zune itself shuts down.
Those with a monthly or 3-month Zune plan will be switched to Groove’s $9.99/month plan. Users with a yearly Zune subscription will be moved to an annual Groove Music Pass for $99.90.
