I Have Not Done My Homework Gigabyte sticks with a dual slot design for their version of the GTX 1080 and attached to the front of the card is their Windforce 3 cooler. It features three fans which are designed to have enhanced airflow over standard models (23% improvement). These sit above a large aluminium heatsink and three composite heat pipes (copper, powder, liquid and hollow tube) pass through that heatsink and draw heat away from the GPU. Gigabyte uses a chunky backplate on the card and apply plenty of LED sections (16.8m colours) to the front and top. It is also worth noting that when the GPU is under low load, or during desktop use, the fans shut down and the card becomes completely silent. Enhanced chokes and capacitors are used along with a process which selects the best quality GPUs for use with this higher end card. Finally, Gigabyte further enhacne the design with an 8+2 power phase layout which should improve overclocking potential.

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 Gaming Review – Conclusion

Starting with the build quality and design of the GTX 1080 G1 Gaming we have a card which immediately impresses. There is no denying that the reference/founders design 1080 is a cool looking, well-built card but it is a little generic and there are limited options for LEDs etc. Gigabyte therefore offers something a little different while still maintaining a high level of components used. The LED configuration is great, use of status LEDS for power is useful and as always Gigabyte uses high-quality components across the PCB as well as some impressive heatpipes.

Pricing for this card feels appropriate. Any GTX 1080 is going to require a significant amount of money but despite the enhanced build quality Gigabyte have kept their card very competitively priced against the competition. Both other NVIDIA based cards and parts based around AMD hardware.

http://www.otradny.org/?do-homework-twice-as-fast Do Homework Twice As Fast On the performance front, all good news really. We do need to note that looking at the MHz numbers that this isnt the highest factory overclock available on the market however the difference in real world performance is minimal. Around 100points in 3DMark vs a higher factory overclock. Or 1-2 FPS max. With the 1080 G1 Gaming we can game in all the latest titles at 4k resolution and it easily outperforms the high-end AMD parts. The card will have no issue providing the performance required for VR gaming and to round it all off, power use and thermals are all very good for this class of card.

Best Way To Start A Thesis Statement Summary: A well rounded take on the GTX 1080 which is worthy of our Performance Award.
