Creative SB0228 and 5.1 + Win7 » HELP!

Hello all!

I've got a Creative SB0228 10K1 [d400] wich worked perfectly on my Windows Xp.

I've decided to move for Windows Seven and then it wont work anymore.

I've heard from KX and instaled it. But the problem now is... i've got a 5.1 surround system and all i can do is put the front OR the rear speakers working.

I've spent like all day trying options but still the problem have not been fixed, so i decided to search here for some help!

I hope someone can help me... thanks in advance.

There is a known issue with Windows 7/Vista (since 3541, IIRC), that effects routing of stereo audio (mp3's, etc) when using Master Mixer (which is usually the default setting) as the playback device. Your problem is likely related to that. ...or the wrong device is set as the default (i.e. setting Wave 2/3 or Wave 4/5 as the default would also result in the described behavior with the default DSP config). Try using SPDIF/AC3 for stereo playback (with possibility of upmixing).
