Bass Redirect Not Working
I have a 5.1 Polk Audio system on an SB Live! Value card, and when I check 'use subwoofer output' and 'bass redirection', the Split Freq slider seems to have no effect on the Front, Rear, and Center channels. Moving the slider to higher frequencies makes the subwoofer louder, but does not actually change the frequencies of bass in the other (F/R/C) channels and does not "Redirect" those frequencies ONLY to the subwoofer. I'm sure of the connections I have plugged both into my soundcard and into the subwoofer's ins and outs.
What can I do to truly redirect the bass from the 5 F/R/C channels and have them output to the subwoofer? Is it possible that I have to change some of the routing setting? Thank You |

i agree... seems like bass redirect doesn't truly do any redirecting. Subwoofer only gets louder but low frequencies don't get transferred from the 5 channels to the subwoofer.
Is it possible i have to change some routing settings??? |
