Can someone clear this up for me

Hi, hope someone can clear this up for me.

I've installed the lates set of kx drivers 3537, after installing them my audigy 2 linked to my inspire 5500 speakers (via the coax cable) now works when playing 5.1 surround sound ie. when i run the test i get the full, left, right, rear left and right, center and sub outputs, games and dvd's also seem to work producing sound from rear channles etc.

From reading this forum i gather that this cant be the case. However it seems to work through kx drivers doing the software encoding of ac-3 which sends the 5.1 signal via the single coax cable to my inspires, am i wrong and this now works?

Would eax support improve this?
