SBLive5.1 - digital out and directx9.0c

I have been using kX in 5.0 movie-mode, with digital output on going to a sony receiver. Then I upgraded to DirectX 9.0c and my rear and center stopped working. I've completely uninstalled and reinstalled kX, checked all the settings everywhere, but I only get 2.0 output in digital mode. If I go to analog, I get full output. Is there anything I can try? Thank you.

4.1 works but not 5.1

Upon some experimenting, any 4.1 modes work fine. However, for any 5.1 mode selected I only get 2.0 output. My setup is 5.1, and 5.1 worked fine before upgrading to directx 9.0c. Any suggestions? Thank you.

S/PDIF(Sony/Philips Digital Interface) is a stereo connection

you will only ever get 5.1/7.1 through a single connection IF the source is encoded in AC-3/DTS

In fact it is 5.1/7.1

But the prob was the Passtrough...

The kX driver shows Passtrough enabled but nothing arrives @ 5.1 system

MOS-Marauder: the S/PDIF Standard is a STEREO connection - you need to use an encoder to compress it into more channels - you yourself mentioned DTS - which is one of these codecs

Well i dont need to encode it .. it is already 5.1 material eg a DVD or AVI containing 5.1 Ac3.

I only want to passtrough it to my Decoder

The kX Driver SHOWS me Ac3 Passtrough (small icon) but nothing to hear...
