HelpMe: Creative Inspire 5.1 Digital 5500 + SbLive 5.1 = AC3 encoding and outputing?

Hello,
Recently I found the kx project, and resolved one problem that bothered me for months. My Creative Inspire 5.1 Digital 5500 speaker system accepts only AC3 encoded signal(the system decodes signal itself), and only that signal can be played 5.1. For example, if I 'send' 6channel signal from playing the new frauhovers 5.1 mp3 thru winamp, I only get played stereo. When I play dvd from, for example, PowerDVD, my speaker system remote control automaticly sets output for Dolby Surround.

So is it possible to encode 5.1 signal from computer software to AC3 signal, and output it to my speaker system decoder.

I use digital-coaxial cable.
