Simple Problem: Rear Channels...
After a dozen topics like this one, which I can't make heads or tails of,
I've been reduced to posting. Please explain slowly. I'm simple. I'm not too computer savvy folks. I have a SB-Live (SB022x) card. I just installed the newest Kx drivers (all the 3538 updates). I have 5.1 speakers. Everything's set. I have all settings on 5.1 surround. So I ran the Speaker test: Front Right Works. Front Left Works. Center works. Sub works. But... The rears are dead. Why is this? I have everything set to 5.1, in the PC control panel as well as the kX mixer. I think this is a common problem but I'm not sure what the solution is because (God help me) I'm new to this. Does anybody know? |

If you're referring to the Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 Digital, model SB0220, then I have the XP drivers for it (I had a problem where it said "could not detect any sound blaster card on your system"). I tried the KX drivers but had the problem where my rear speakers would not work. The only solution was to find the CD that came with my sound card, and fortunately I did, and it now works perfectly. If you would like these drivers, email me at vxmonaro@hotmail.com and I'll arrange to send them to you
