cannot get surround sound in doom 3

hello every one

I've been using kx for nearly 2 years and when I play games everything works fine until recently. I had to format and reinstall windows and now I can't get doom 3 to have surround sound which I used to have. i'm still using kx3537, the same one I used before and it worked great. I've enabled surround speakers in doom 3, set surrounder to 5.1, set windows speaker setting to 5.1 and default device to 4/5 and it still doesn't work. I wonder what would have gone wrong with it.

BTW, I'm using SB0102.

Any help or solution would be very thankful.

why did you set default device to 4/5? afaik that would be front speakers only

my own fault, but i set it back to 0/1 and still can't get anything from rear speakers.

ok, now i got it fixed. i had to re initialise DSP. thanks anyway JohnMcClane
