Counter-Strike Settings?
Hi, I downloaded KX Drivers in order to enhance my sound in Counter-Strike: Source. They are working great. However, with the millions of features packed into the driver set, I was wondering if there was anything I could tweak in order to improve my sound in any manner. I am currently using the Surrounder to tweak my sound output. I use 2.0 Headphones when playing, and my sound card is a Creative Sound Blaster Live! 5.1. Here are my current Surrounder Settings:
Mode: 2.1 Surrounder: On VCenterA: 1.00 VRearA: 1.00 VRearW: 0.50 Subwoofer Output: Off Is that in line with my intentions? And is there anything else I can do to get the best performance out of my sound equipment? Thanks in advance, will6140 |

As far as I know, surround settings in surrounder are useless if you are using 2.1 (Headphones) setup. It has only to do with 4.1 and up. There is a dedicated effect for headphones called hph, but it's not fully implemented (see surround setup). Maybe in next release - it would be nice to ask Eugene if he is willing to implement it to final 3538 release.
As for me - use surround to off if playing on headphones. If using 5.1 or such - surround: copy. |
