CCC and firewall?
Seen this mentioned in another thread but I need info on this...I have to shudown my Firewall if I want to load up CCC..whats up with that? is it because I set the FW to forbid access to the net for the drivers? exactly why would my GFX drivers want access to the net? upgrades and such?

First experience w/ CCC on a client's PC. And the crap doesn't work. Yes, ALL updates including .net 2.0 and it STILL doesn't work. No firewall! *sigh* I said to myself "this is why i never buy ati".

You may need .NET 1.1 as well as 2.0

Is it a software firewall? I have a hardware firewall protecting my network and I have no problems with CCC except for its outrageously long loading times...
Maybe its that particular software? Try a different software firewall (if your firewall is software-based) and see if that alleviates the problem.
