finally installed a clean XP on another drive and it does fix the WDM driver problem but I still cant get my firewire port to work correctly. it grabs the first 2 frames from my camcorder then stops. funny thing is that it seemed to work fine when I first installed the card but it doesnt work anymore on either install of XP (on this computer at least.) ideas anybody?

the only thing I have found that will fix that is starting fresh with windows. My firewire problem turned out to be a problem with my motherboard. Everything is a mess right now with my system. I just bought a new motherboard and have a chip on the way so its a very expensive way to fix the problem

Just installed Catalyst 2.2 drivers for Radeon 64 MB DDR, every time I reboot it tells me it has found unknown hardware, but I can't install WDM drivers. I've tried 5118 & 6125 neither works, can someone help me please?

I installed the ctalyst 2.2 on my 8500 dv and also had the problem at first. fixed by downloading the capture drivers again and installing those. I already hads the old ones but they wouldnt work. the same thing happended when I started using the catalyst dirvers when they first came out
