The same exact thing has been happening on my AiW 8500DV. it happens no matter what driver set I use. I have been pulling my hair out since I bought this card a few days ago and I am minutes away from throwing it out the window and going back to my V5 5500
I am running :
Windows XP Pro
tried drivers that came with the card and the newest released offcial ATI drivers
TBird 1ghz
Abit KG7-Raid w/ newest bios
512MB DDR
SB Live
3Com PCI 10/100
Creative DVD ROM
Lite-On 40x12x48

finally installed a clean XP on another drive and it does fix the WDM driver problem but I still cant get my firewire port to work correctly. it grabs the first 2 frames from my camcorder then stops. funny thing is that it seemed to work fine when I first installed the card but it doesnt work anymore on either install of XP (on this computer at least.) ideas anybody?

the only thing I have found that will fix that is starting fresh with windows. My firewire problem turned out to be a problem with my motherboard. Everything is a mess right now with my system. I just bought a new motherboard and have a chip on the way so its a very expensive way to fix the problem

Default Post Can't Install Capture Drivers

Just installed Catalyst 2.2 drivers for Radeon 64 MB DDR, every time I reboot it tells me it has found unknown hardware, but I can't install WDM drivers. I've tried 5118 & 6125 neither works, can someone help me please?
