TV-Out

My card has a TV-Out jack on it, but I haven't ever used it. I want to, but am not really sure where to begin. Any advice on what kind of S-Video cable to buy? Do I need to buy a S-Video to RCA cable? Do I need to download any optional software or drivers?

What TV are you hooking it up to? Does the TV have an S-video in? RCA-in?

It all depend on the BIOS version your using as well as the type of connection you need. If your going to connect with an RCA connection than I'd suggest you get a S-Video to RCA from ATI. I tried a couple of other models made for other reasons and other companies and none worked. No software is needed. To activate the TV-OUT go to Start --> Settings --> Control Panel --> Display. Then Click to the Settings tab and click Advanced. Now in the Display tab you should be able to see an image in the middle of the TV screen. If not click on the button on the top right of the TV screen image to activate that connection.

That's what I was thinking, so thanks for the re-assurance. I'll go ahead and order the cable from ATi, and if I have any questions afterwards, I'll get back at you. Thanks..

Is this the type of cable that I'm going to need for TV-Out?

I looked around for the sort of cable to connect my 9000Pro to a normal VCR a while back and I came across this:
http://www.svideo2rca.com/msvmrca6.html
You might find it useful as it is an s-video to rca converter in a single cable. I linked to one that's 24ft. long at ~$25 (this is the one I bought since 6ft is ~$18) and the card recognizes it on bootup (in fact, if you have it in it'll boot up through it) . Anyway, that website has lots of other things, so check it out.
