composite/s-video picture turns to snow
I'm using MMC 9.13 with an HDTV Wonder and TV Wonder Elite and hooked up a vcr/dvd player to them via composite and s-video. I can see the vcr/dvd menus okay but once I start to play a movie the image turns to snow. Anyone experienced this? I had the same setup with an AIW previously with an older MMC and didn't have this problem.

Out of interest does it do it if you hook up a console to the machine?
It looks like Macrovision protection to me. |

I don't have a console to check but I do have DirecTV hooked up without any problems. My suspicion is also MacroVision but since I never saw it before with the AiW and previous MMC versions I'm not sure. I searched around but haven't seen any discussions regarding this.

Also check that your VCR plays your previously known good tapes without going snowy - could be dirty heads on the VCR.

DVD's do it too so that idea seems farfetched to me.
Still worth a try though |

Interesting, hadn't heard of that happening with DVD recordings...
