Video Amp needed?

Hey guys, I was wondeing if anybody in here is using a Video Amplifier before the PC? MEaning are you boosting your Video Signal before it gets to the PC? I have a bunch of splitters running, can't help it, I have kids. I have tried two different video amps and they seemd to add a type of noise themselves. I just want the signal going into the PC a bit cleaner. I think what I mught have to do is go around to all the connections and replace them. So I have nice clean ends going to the splitters. I know the splitteres degrasde the signal but bad ends can add noise as well. Any info?

Best idea would be to get a splitter/amplifier combo and split everything off one or two big ones. Less splitting is better.

As far as I know though pure signal amplifiers won't do too much in the way of help
