VIVO issues? look here!

I saw a link to this nifty program in another thread here on Driverheaven.

The program is DScaler, and it works with all video cards that have a WDM driver installed.

http://deinterlace.sourceforge.net/

It's open source and works great!

Only issue I found so far is it give an error that it can't load a hardware driver, most likely because I'm using win64 which is not officially supported.

Yes, and it isn't a cure-all by any means. It is a cool app though for me mainly because of the filters. YOu can use filters on the video- so if it's a bit fuzzy you can use a noise filter to clean it up and such..

OMG wouldn't that just beat all if MMC took a guide from Dscaler and you could have all those functions in MMC..they would definatley have a hot product on their hands. I think they want to keep everything simple for simple users but not everybody is a simple user. Maybe have like 2 MMC's one basic and one advanced. That would be cool indeed.

A sticky would be nice as it took me a couple days of searching to find anything about VIVO.

MMC flat out wouldn't install on windows 64. In fact I have leftovers that I can't uninstall that gives me an error at every boot that I have to now track down and remove.

Dscaler is not a full solution by any means but it helped out a hell of a lot. I'm just happy I can watch TV from my cable box now

hell they still haven't fixed the 6.3 Vivo package that doesn't even have the VIVO NSP required drivers...... sad.... really really sad...

I have never had such issues with my card, knock on wood. I don't understand why peoples cards don't seem to function at all..Can't even watch TV?..that's bad.. I run into issues the odd time but I can always fix them..I mean it's something I caused by messing with a working set-up...Maybe it's just this model or something. Guys bad mouth these cards but mine has always worked as it should...well it does everything I want it too.. See I tried newer drivers and that when I hit trouble, I am using 6.2 DZP's and they work without a hitch with a 9.08 MMC, but I think I will be changing that..to a newer one I think for testing..

Can't see why I pull drivers out, put different ones in try new MMC's try old MMC's try modded drivers etc. I can always just swicth on tv and such..I don't bother trying to schedule stuff. I just recently installe deverything over, becuase I felt like it and I will be cloning the drive. I wish I could help guys more but my level of troubleshooting with the ATI's is limited. Knock on wood. I am always trying new things to get better performance and such, but I thought everybody does that..WAIT I had a issue teh other day, when I turned on the TV, it would stop! like it was paused but I wasn't pausing it..Have you ever seen that? I fixed it in about 10 minutes...But I considered that a issue..Knock on wood..Hopefully Everything keeps working..I am not running some of the set-ups you guys have either though..

So maybe it has something to do with being a tweaker?

F that it should work for most people regardless of configuration, even considering how hard it is to make good working PC hardware in this case its the software. That can easily be remedied.

Could be. I never just leave things as they are I am always asking questions and trying new things to get the best setup I can. I know all my apps inside and out though. I know what goes in, what order. Then again it could all be luck. I have a pretty simple setup also. I am getting more and more into video though, I have a new 300 gb drive sitting here to go in the rig next..see what type of issue that gives me..
