X850XT VIVO and an N64

Okay, so I'm a completely newb when it comes to stuff like AIW and VIVO, so I have a few questions I need cleared up. Any help is appreciated.
I want to hook up my N64 or some other gaming console to my X850XT through VIVO. Okay, so how do I get the video to show up? I know DScaler is a somewhat popular program for doing this kind of thing, but is there anything special to do with that to make it spit out what's coming into the card?
And also, what about sound? Do I have to have some sort of adapter to hook my N64 audio cables up to my speakers?
Thanks in advance,
-fobis

OK, I am not usre what you have for connectors on your card for input, SO I will give examples with Mine(AIW 9600XT) I have a external cable with a box pn the end with S-video, and three RCA connectors. These are my video and audio inputs. IF I wanted to hook a N64 to my card I would have to connect the RCA out's on the N64 to this BOX..yellow for video, White-AUdio Left,Red Audio-Right. THen I would load up MMC and swicth the input from tuner to composite..and I would have the N64 in the window of my MMC. Using D_scaler would still require the same connection but just different settings to get Dscaler to use the composite input..Hope That helps..

Ok, so I know I don't have one of those box adapter things you were talking about. I do have a composite adapter which is not what I need. I think you AIW users get some special audio codec deal on your card along with your VIVO whereas I just have VIVO.
So then, I could hook up my video pretty easily, but then as for audio... I'd have to get an adapter to go from the white/red cable to a sound card compatible jack and stick that in line-in or something, right?

OH, so your video card doesn't hav input for audio?..the yes you will need to go from the N64 to the Line_in on your sound card. Very easy to do. What do you have for video input on the card? RCA and S-video? BTW you can also use Media player classic for connecting to video streams..this might actually be the easiest route for you. YOur card has the Multimedia center? what I mean is what application does your card include that let's you view the Video being fed into your card?

I didn't really look at the software I got with the card.
But I can use Dscaler to capture the video from VIVO and then I figured out how to make it spit out audio from line in. Now, I just need an adapter to hook up the RCA audio cables from my N64 to my line-in jack.
Thanks for the help, ROBSCIX

Yes, a 1/8" mini jack to dual RCA connector..you may need a couple of female to female connectors. Hope that helps. Hey H3X, I am trying to figure out how those VIVO cards are setup..they just have a RCA input for video? they are nothing like the AIW's?

They have a 9 pin connector which splits into one Svideo in and out each, and one RCA in / out each for video. The audio is done by the sound card
