ATI DVD & TV out

Hi,

Just installed the ati dvd player. Tried to play a DVD on TV out. Unfortunately resulted in a black screen with no images on my TV, monitor works fine. Normal desktop is showing up ok on TV. If I use Power DVD 4 XP it works on both TV and monitor. I'm using the Plutonium/Omega drivers version omegaplutonium_xk1071_a (win XP), installed with default refresh rates. For DVD play I've tried 1024*768 and 800*600 with both the same result. Two questions:
- Is the ati dvd player making better use of my Radeon 8500 LE than Power DVD?
- How can I get it to work on my TV using ati dvd player?
