TV-Out/ATi Video Driver Problem
Hi!
I have really odd problem, I installed new ati radeon drivers from ati.com (over old drivers.. which was a mistake I guess). During installation I got "zero display service error". However installation was compeleted succesfully and everything seems to be fine but TV-Out is not working anymore. I have tried to do everything. I uninstalled drivers and utilities, while doing that I got "no display service" error, and re-installed ati drivers (tried older ones also).. no joy ![]() I also managed to install driver manually without getting "zero display service error" thing but TV-Out is still showing me black ;( I made everything in safe mode, ran Driver Cleaner, ... TV-Out was working fine before new driver installation. My video card is Ati Radeon 9600 pro. Last edited by mohoso; Jul 17, 2006 at 06:25 AM. |

Are you running dual monitors by any chance?

Or do you mean that I should install Ati drivers only one monitor plugged in? |

Well what I mean is that you can only ever run either 1 monitor and a TV or two monitors and no TV. Running 2 monitors and a TV would never have worked.

I`m sure that "no display service" error has something do with it. |

OK so have you tried just erasing ALL drivers, I mean using Driver Cleaner, CCleaner, first uninstalling via the control panel etc... and then reinstalled the latest drivers from scratch?

I've the same s--- and nobody know what to do,
The only thing that we have in common that we did not uninstalled the CCC driver before, By the way My card is "X1900XT 512 SAPPHIRE" Even so we uninstalled/reinstalled after we sees the problem the problem remains!? WTF i've been "google it" and nothing nobody knows what is the real problem. I do not use dual monitoring so i don't know if the probe is dual monitoring...... |

In his case it looks like it is... in your case it could be the drivers for the card because X1900's can only use the newest drivers
