TV Fails to Initialize...Using ATI MMC
I've taken this as a copy/paste right from the release notes of ATI's support site re: the WDM drivers. These notes are referenced in relation to the Catalyst 6.4 drivers....the ones that everyone has commented about that started using the T200 Streaming drivers. These notes are also referenced even up through the 6.6 driverset.

Here's right from the ATI site: (Please notice the component list for the WDM drivers. No mention is made of the T200 AVStream drivers that actually became incorporated with the release of the 6.4 driverset.)

[color=#000066][color=lemonchiffon]TV Player Failed To Initialize Video, running ATI Multimedia [/color][color=lemonchiffon]Center [/color][/color]

[color=lemonchiffon]Some ATI display drivers will not recognize or function with the software contained in tv-capture-wdm-4-07-6246v3-5-01-6300.exe. If you experience problems with your TV or Capture application be sure to install the recommended ATI Display driver for your ATI graphic card. [/color]

[color=lemonchiffon]If problems continue and you are using the recommended ATI display driver for your ATI graphic card, follow these steps: [/color]
  1. <LI value=1>[color=lemonchiffon]Go to the DEVICE MANAGER. [/color]<LI value=2>[color=lemonchiffon]Double-click the Sound, Video and game controller and ensure all the ATI WDM components listed below are present and functioning properly. For the ATI WDM version 4.07 (6246) the component list consists of: [/color]
    • [color=lemonchiffon]ATI WDM Specialized PCD Codec [/color]
    • [color=lemonchiffon]ATI WDM Rage Theater Audio [/color]
    • [color=lemonchiffon]ATI WDM Rage Theater Video [/color]

    • [color=lemonchiffon]ATI WDM TV Tuner [/color]

    [color=lemonchiffon]Right click and select properties for each ATI WDM component and ensure that the properties state that This device is working properly. If any device is not working properly, follow these steps: [/color]
    1. <LI value=1>[color=lemonchiffon]Select and remove all of the ATI components shown under Sound, Video and game controller. [/color]<LI value=2>[color=lemonchiffon]Close the DEVICE MANAGER. [/color]<LI value=3>[color=lemonchiffon]DO NOT restart the system. [/color]
    2. [color=lemonchiffon]Install 6-4_xp-2k_wdm_31959.exe [/color]

Where is the mention of any T200 AVStream drivers?

It's actually listed under SUPPORT. And, you'd think they'd update that every now and again.
