TV detection/TV Signal

I am in the final stages of completeing an install of an AIW 2006 AGP card on my PC. I have been able to resolve all issues with sound and picture up to this point with one nagging problem left. Two days ago i was able to get the everything working on my TV. Now i get noting out of the TV but the Catalyst software is detecing the TV but not saving my settings to clone the desktop to that display. I am figuring i am missing a driver but I absolutely can not figure out which one. Any ideas?

When I try to do what your talking about, I actually have to switch the CCC to Basic mode and do it that way...if I set it in advanced mode it just "forgets" the settings..that might helps...good luck..

That's interesting. Come to think of it when it was working i believe i was in Basic mode. I'll have to give that a shot. I'll keep my fingers crossed and thanks for the help.

When you go through the panes..keep your eye out for one that says "let me choose how video is diplayed on second monitor" or someting like that. I use dual monitors aswell and I tried setting it in CCC advanced mode and it would set properly but the monitor wouldn't do what I wanted...which is the same thing you want to have the second monitor play video in full screen mode. See when I open any video app in my primary..that will be in a window..but in the second monitor it will be in fullscreen..good luck..

I tried what you had suggested and that didnt work. I set my TV as the secondary display and cloned as well and tried stretching my desktop to it with no luck. When it was working i would see everything on the tv during boot up as well as the bios boot. Now i see nothing which makes me kind of curious as to what i am missing that i dont see anything out of that card on the secondary display now. Its not so much frustrating as it is down right confusing for me now.

Yeah i have done that a 100 times. I get no signal out of the TV when i do that, and if i reboot the CCC software resets itself and i have to re-enable the TV option again. Am i not getting the right signal from the TV so the card is not detecting it when i boot?

You said it shows on the TV when you boot right? I know that sometimes you need to enable AUX input on a TV so it'll accept the signal from the TV. DO you have anything else installed like any video tools? -I mean like ATI tray atools or ATI tool etc?

It was showing on the TV during boot up and now it doesnt. If i replace the PC input with another device it works on that aux input of the TV so the input is enabled there. I have no other tools beside the ATI CCC and the decoder and encoder, but i dont believe they are causing any issues with the display. I am using the composite out jack on the dongle that comes with the AIW 2006 card.

Of course you checked all the cables 100 times. Did you try pulling out all the driver and doing a reinstall? -that is strange because boot screen should always show in the seconday monitor...I have dual monitors and even if I set it to be off. When I boot up the secondary turns on and shows the info and bott screens then shuts off again. The time between when it worked and when it didn't do you remember installing anything?

I reinstalled the drivers and still had the same issue. When i went to bed the PC was working perfectly and when i woke up the TV out was not working. No TV picture even after a reboot. Here is where the issue gets really confusing but it is leading me to a hardware issue than anything at this point. I came home from work yesterday and I had left my PC running after messing with it in the morning trying to get the TV to work and the TV out function was working. When i left for work it wasnt and when i came home i t was. I obviously didnt touch anything. Who knows. Thanks for your help i appreciate it. I think i might just replace the card at this point.

Sounds like you need to return the card.
