Radeon 9800 pro won't capture TV -oops double post
I stuck this in the wrong thread...beginner...sorry
2 weeks ago I installed the 9800Pro into my pc... from reading this forum the expected problems are now resolved but I still cannot pick up any TV channels. The installation wizard has picked up three channels but only just...fuzzy picture, no sound, image runs slow and a "No Signal" message is splashed over the screen when I run TV. I had a great image on my TV, and tried a TV signal booster to no avail. Display manager tells me all my drivers are ok... I don't have the "ATI WDM specialized PCD codec" is all...is this a problem?? My PC guru buddy is stuck for ideas...as am I. Am prepared to exchange (part of) my soul for a solution...any offers??? |

Do older drivers fix it, i.e. the CD drivers? Try using those and if those fix it we know its a software problem at least. Best to narrow it down now

verify you have the cable connected to the proper connector they both look like a cable connecter but only one is for cable...I would double chek that. IF your really having issues with MMC you can always use somethihng else. it seems like your card isnt getting any channels from the cable your getting 3..those are probably local channels you can pick up on antenna...Atleast thats where I would start check and make sure cable is connected to right connector...Hope that helps. YOu should watch what you promise for solutions!
