MMC FM Radio on Windows 98/ME

Hello all,

is there anyone who, in the past or the present, has used MMC FM Radio on Windows 98/ME?

For some things I am still using Windows 98SE and I would like MMC FM Radio to work there, but when I install MMC (9.03 in my case) everything installs and works perfectly, except FM Radio: it is simply not getting installed and I can not even select it in a Custom install either, because the option isn't there!?...

Does anybody know how to solve this, or at least tell me that it is possible, because he used it now or some time ago?...

FYI you could have merged this with the other thread

You need a later MMC, which isn't supported under 9.x (98 and ME)

So there's that, its impossible.

But I don't understand... what version would I need then!?...

As far as I know even 8.6 supports Radio and that one definately works on Windows 9x; I just don't know if the Radio function (that is supported on XP) is supported on 9x as well!?...

Well personally I wouldn't/don't bother with 9.x O/S because they're bad enough as it is without trying to get something as stupidly sensitive to work as an AiW.

8.6 doesn't support radio IIRC... I think that was released around the 8500 AiW era (wasn't it? I know I used that version with my 8500 AiW).

If what's on the CD doesn't support 9.x or work, well then... its either XP/2000 or no FM.

As far as I know FM IS supported under those operating systems (or was when 9.x had support to begin with), because 9600 AiWs have FM and worked under 9.x, I'm just not sure its worth the bother since 1. 9.x O/S's are unsupported by anyone and 2. AiW's usually work better under 2000/XP
