9600xt AIW, We able to update drivers now without A/V sync issues?

Hey all, like most of you, I was there when ATI was still denying claims that their updated WDS and MMC was the cause of audio/video input sync, (Not to mention TV too)

So been using the maximum legacy drivers so I could keep sync etc.

However.. as you know that hurts your gaming and other aspects by not upgrading.

I been reading on this forum about disable tv on demand to fix sync issues? That true?

Basically can I install the new catalyst and mmc and not have a input sync issue? (I like hooking my game consoles up to play via the pc, works good for the 5.1 too)

What about Omega drivers with this all? Recommended or not at all? Basically I want to upgrade and not have a sync issue anymore, trying to see what everyone is winding up doing now. =)

(I know dscaler is mentioned alot.. issue is, it even said on its site that AIW wasnt supported)

Have you thought of dual booting to solve this problem?

I don't know that you can actually disable TVoD in the newest MMC.

If you could tell me what version of the MMC software and drivers you're actually running that would help. Basically if you're concerned over gaming speed/issues with your old driver, you should be able to remove everything, install the new drivers MINUS the new AV drivers and then install the old MMC and old AV drivers as per normal. If you can actually get it to work.

MMC is either 8.6.0.0 or 8.9.0.0
Cata is 04.3

As for dual booting, no real interest in that to be honest. Just wondering if there is a common version now everyone uses and can still have the ability to play a video game console without issues on it. (Or record tv and not have sync issue)

The only thing AiW users have in common is problems with their software... unfortunately the only thing that will solve your problem is experimentation (well it will eventually lead to some solution or another...)
