Problem capturing with ATI TV-Wonder 650

I am having problems with capturing video from my VCR using
composite input. I get a brief spurt of video and sound and then
just noise. Strangely, if I fast forward the VCR, the video and sound reappear
until I go back to play mode.

I have Windows XP Pro w/XP2, an ATI HD2600 graphics card and an
ATI TV Wonder HD-650 Combo PCIE card.

This problem occurs when using Pinnacles Instant DVD recorder and
aslo the Catalyst Media Center

Any suggestions would be appreciated. By the way, I remove DAO and
it was never reinstalled with the ATI software

Does it happen with any other programs you use to view or capture video with?

If it doesn't then your problem is the program itself. If not I'd start looking at any hardware buffer settings.
