Tv-wonder Pro

Ok, I've had enough of this, I want a TV tuner card by ATI, I was fed up and about to buy the Leadtek Winfast Deluxe, or whatever. Then I saw this thing on they're site for the TV-WONDER PRO, so I fiqured I'd wait for it to come out... and I'm still waiting. When are they going to launch the dam thing?!

PS: FIRST POST! WHOO!!!

Is there a difference between the Pro and the VE edition?
I've wanted to add a TV tuner and like the VE with remote to add to the 9200 128 Radeon I just installed.
Also best prices on this?
Local at Compusa for $79.99 for the VE/Remote edition...
And
Is the VE stereo?

Seems like they are clueless internally on this... just received the following dated 7/29/03:

Regarding "When and where will the TV Wonder Pro be available?":

Unfortunately, we have no information regarding its availability or suggested
retail price as of yet. Please visit www.ati.com for udpates.

Should you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us.

Jeff is just super!Jeff is just super!Jeff is just super!Jeff is just super!Jeff is just super!Jeff is just super!Jeff is just super!

I would have thought the Pro would be better than my older TV Wonder, but it seems to be the exact same feature wise, minus the miniplug audio out, and the CD-audio pass-through.

The remote version has a remote; oh well, I don't think I'll be getting one then.

Pro with Remote

Got my Pro with Remote yesterday...

Found it at CostCentral for $89.86:
http://www.costcentral.com/prod/ATI/.../C28804/112/21

Took a lot of trial and error to get it to work...
Out of the box the Install CD just didn't help...
Ended up doing a layering of a reinstall of Directx 9b then dao-mdac, tvtuner and new 8.6 MMC and left the Remote Wonder with the 1.4... the 2.0 just wouldn't jive with it...
Mostly working fine, EXCEPT the PCVR capture pops an error that shuts it down... (Stills are fine )
If anyone comes up with a Fix for that lemme know...
I'm rather over it at this point... it took like three hours to get the functionality I have now...
