Using MMC 7.9....need some advice...
I have a setup here where I use two computers and capture video from one to another. The capture card is my 64 DDR VIVO.
Using MMC 7.9, I've captured using the SVCD setting. I'm wanting to edit this captured video in Movie Maker 2, but, all I get is a black screen as the file plays. I've tried several different converters to change my captured video to AVI (or something else), but none of them recognize the ATi codec used. So far, I've tried EasyX Video Converter, WinMPG Video Converter, RADTOOLS, and the one that comes with my Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum with all the updates. So far, I'm getting nowhere. The programs tell me that the file is unrecognizable or something to that affect. Any ideas? EDIT: BTW, if I select VCD, it works fine....only with less clarity in the video. |

So its the ATi Codec that wont allow the other programs to convert it due to the fact that they cant reconize the ATi codec? Is there not a proggy that will do what ati's proggy does?

Well, for one thing, the captured video isn't something I can duplicate and do again using the VCD setting. It's an in-game capture from a game that has totally random sequences. So, I can't actually redo it now that it's done.
What I'm wanting to do is edit out portions and then link two separate captures together....both done with SVCD. |

Oh, BTW,
I can get the files to play in Media Player 9, but even it won't let me use the SAVE AS option to change the format.....and it still only shows a black screen if I try to use the SAVE AS option. |
