cant get tv panel to open

the problem:
when i launch the tv program from the start menu it doesnt initialize, is not in a proccess and not in task manager apllications.
when pressing the tv button on the remote control it does the same thing, nothing.

whats installed:
omega 2.4.96c
ati wdm tv tuner 6.14.10.6217 date is 8/6/2003
AIW 9700

the other applications work fine, fileplayer, dvd etc...

its worked before but when i had the regular old at drivers installed. but since wolfenstein:enemy territory works on the new version c omega drivers i would prefer to stay with the omega drivers.

are u runing the latest mmc?

mmc 8.7 installed
although now when i try and launch the tv panel a black splash screen shows for a second, sometimes the black is got the red ati image (not the logo but similar to the ati driver cd image). but still nothing loads.
