ATI TV Wonder VE + Scrambled Signals
Here's a strange one for you.
Prior to installing my 9800XT it worked great. However, after installing my 9800XT my ATI TV Wonder VE likes to scramble the singnal from the coax so that cable TV no longer works. What is the strange part though is that it is only scrambled every 5th or 6th time that I open the TV window. Than it works. Just really weird and wondered if anyone else has had this problem? I have checked the cox connection and there is nothing wrong there.

Since the two pieces of hardware are independent, yet share some underlying driver software, I would have to ask what happens when you reinstall the lastest MMC, WDM, Media Encoder 9 (if needed), and driver software for the TV Wonder card?
I suspect the problem is that the latest driver set for the 9800 overwrote or misdirected (registry thing) some stuff for the TV card and the TV card liked it better the old way... Worth a shot to see, your 9800 should still work fine after a re-install of the TV card drivers and support software, and your TV card is not working now as it is so... My point is, really, isolate as much of the software as you can from ATI's site (and latest versions) for the TV card alone, reinstall the software specific to it, and see what happens...

I actually had the same problem with the TV wonder and Ati support told me it was a known issue but they didn't have any plans to fix it... granted that was over a year ago and I have since sold it
