Sapphire AIW 9800SE antenna in problem
When I finaly connect my antenna cable to my AIW card, the card/software doesn't recogize it. I don't have TV capturing feature in Multimedia Center.
I heard that DirectX9b will fix that problem, but the problem is still here Then, some guy told me that WinDVR 3 will fix that, but still in that program my all antenna setings are disabled. So, what can I do next? |

Which AIW card, and what versions of MMC (example - 7.2, 8.6 etc) and WDM are you using?
The MMC and WDM files are somwhat touchy about version compatability, and the install order.

Well it start working
But I don't know why. After I deinstall some software and after I connect my remote device in USB port it start working. I know it doesn't make any sence. Last few days I install so mutch software for this device, that I don't know when second problem start to happen. Now I don't have any sound when I record something from TV or Video. I tried to change everything in audio setings, but still don't have sound. BTW, I have DirectX 9.0b with patch MMC 8.8 WDM 6-14-10-6227 last from ATI site |

Glad it's working - regardless of the reason. About the audio not recording be sure and check your volume control properties - your "line in" may be muted or set at minimum, or a cable between your sound card and the AIW is connected improperly or defective, stuff like that. The simple things first...
When installing the AIW card, it is important that the audio and RF cables are hooked up properly before you begin the install. That way the software installation routine can properly sense all the hardware and set the TV channels properly, etc.

Stupid, programs!
I resolve problem after some time. Problem was, that TV (in MMC) use microphone in, and it was enabled in sound card output setup, but in record/input setup it was disabled. And when I change this settings, and enable microphone for recording if I start again TV it disables again microphone, I don't know why, but finnaly find what I must change to work. It's stupid that I must every time change setings for my sound card when I start TV!

Now that you have that sorted out, you may want to move a cable or two around (if necessary) or use the ATI setup to use line in or CD in for the sound instead of the microphone input.
When listening to speakers, it is good to have the microphone muted or disabled so that acoustic feedback (screeching or howling noise, when the microphone and speakers are close together or pointed at one another) does not occur.
