AIW 9000/Pro Capture problem...need help!
I recently bought this card and tried Plutonium XP 8.1 drivers. hoping that may help eliminate macrovision, but still get the same errors or capture icon stops working. is there any way to bypass this? i have a digital video stablizer i bought 10 years ago. that works, but the picture still shows some artifacts as it's playing. i'm hoping that if there is a way to bypass it using software, it may clean this up.
i'm using Win2K/sp2 P4 3.0 512mb Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000(-L) v2.0 here is some info about the card: Graphics Processor Properties Video Adapter ATI Radeon 9000 (RV250) GPU Code Name RV250 PCI Device 1002 / 4966 Transistors 36 million Process Technology 0.15u Bus Type AGP Memory Size 64 MB GPU Clock 274 MHz RAMDAC Clock 400 MHz Pixel Pipelines 4 TMU Per Pipeline 1 Vertex Shaders 1 (v1.1) Pixel Shaders 1 (v1.4) DirectX Hardware Support DirectX v8.1 Pixel Fillrate 1096 MPixel/s Texel Fillrate 1096 MTexel/s Video Adapter Properties BIOS String BK-ATI VER008.004.000.000 Chip Type RADEON 9000 AGP Pro (0x4966) DAC Type Internal DAC(400MHz) Installed Drivers ati2dvag (6.14.10.6430) Memory Size 64 MB |

The drivers were never tested on a Radeon 9000, and I only ever got the macrovision disabled on a Radeon 7200, never on anything newer; sorry

found that if someone could patch this file ativmvxx.ax, then it may be possible to bypass macrovision. i was able to tweek the file just enough to make the screen goblank, but the record button did not grey out. let me know if this the right way to go.

I have the latest v6.14.10.6300 (NSP) and v6.14.10.6246 (SP) hacked drivers to bypass the macrovision detection. These WILL enable capturing of macrovision protected analog sources.
