Clean install on everything - works great for months - Installed an old game (starfleet Academy) Will not work - tried every combition of AIW control center to fix but not one of the setting chges makes any different - Today when I booted up XP Pro found not one but 12 unknow devices
Mulitimedia audio controller
Mulitimedia audio controller
PCI Input device
Raid controller
Universal serial bus (USB) controller
Unknow device

USB Device
I tried the XP Pro install disk and internet nothing
what concerns me also is that the unknow devices properties shows that these are on the AIW 9000 Pro WHF?
So are these 6 different devices or the same one repeated

I'm so confused Help is it time for another reinstall? maybe ?

thank you for your time

yes, there are 6 devices in "Sound, video, and game controllers" that use the WDM drivers.
they look like:

and these are on the AIW, as you said. there's no harm in installing the drivers even if you won't use the TV or whatever. It will tidy up your device manager quite a bit.

as for the other items, it looks to me like they might be your on-board sound, game controller, RAID controller. if you don't need these, you can disable them in your BIOS, and they will disappear from the list.

one more question: did you install your motherboard chipset drivers?
