??? Desperately Looking for Assistance with MMC 9.06

Greetings,

I have a critical component missing in the installed MMC 9.06. The missing component is the Personal Video Recorder tab in the setup window. I can schedule the event, all looks well but no action takes place. Additionally the PVR icon on the TV control is missing as well. I installed all required software accoring to the Drivers Page on my ATI TV Wonder PCI Card. ANy sugestions, hints, comments are very appreciated.

I have all the system requirements met.

You'll need to go up to MMC 9.08 or better...

Thank you for the quick reply. It is greatly appreciated. I navigated through the ATI website and was unable to to find MMC 9.08. Can you provide the link for me. Sorry for the trouble.

I also suppose there is a specific way to uninstall MMC 9.06 before proceeding with the new install?

Thank you again.

Edit: Before going back to MMC 9.06 I had the lastest version of MMC but my problem was that the no signal message (apparently had to do with the free to air option) was constantly poping up and interfereing with viewing the tv and I could never remove that message.

Well if you're not adverse to 3rd party apps you might look at DScaler

No I am not adverse to other 3rd party apps, I was considering BeyondTV for instance before you brought this other product to my attention.

However there must be a link out there somewhere on the ATI website that has 9.08 or perhaps if you can help me address the problem I has with the latest MMC I was encountering. Can anyone confirm if MMC 9.06 has the PVR option (it mus). After all why did it not install from the link that I directly DL'ed from ATI.

Yes, I read your point. However I went on to mention that 9.13 also gave me some issues. At any rate I thank you for your quick and immediate help, it is greatly appreciated. Additionally, I am going to look further into DScaler. I will begin by searching through the forums.

I am going to give the latest version a try before I go back to 9.08 as per your suggestion.

Thank you

Ooh right, my mistake

DScaler I'm pretty sure should work, it works way better for me in most cases.

You need the proper driver version to use with the MMC, as the drivers started using a unified driver so if you try and use a newer driver with a Older MMC..no go, same thing if you try and use a older driver and a newer MMC....Justa thought, I think that MMC and driver list should be stickied..

System Specs

Well, as I mentioned in another thread, I had an ATI Tech tell me that the CAT 6.2/MMC 9.06.1 combination is the 'best'.

This was about a week ago when I was having probs with my X800XT AIW and ended up RMAing it. This was the 2nd level guy that I got passed on to.

I'm going to give that combo a try when the card comes back.
