connecting a ps2 to my pc with the 9600

I would really appriciate some help here. I can't find the display of the ps2 after I hook it up and turn it on. I'm not sure where the channel is or the aux channel, or if there even is one. I have the ps2 hooked up to the purple input cable and it is all plugged in correctly, I jsut don't get any video or sound... where do I go to get the picture???? Thank you.

have you loaded the multimedia center and required apps?
