I've just built a new computer with the all-in-wonder x600 pro. The problem is, when i start the tv, after about 10 min it will freeze. The frozen picture will stay there until i restart.
Here are my specs: gigabyte ga-k8n ultra 9 1 gig ram amd 3500+ win xp pro sp2 Thanks |

Sounds like overheating to me. Make sure you have good case ventilation.
Make sure you have stable power supply voltages as well. Try reseating all your components.

I think its software, never heard of TV overheating a GPU I mean it doesn't stress it out at all if any, in most situations... |

Well, if I overclock AIW 9600 Pro, when I watch TV, it locks up. Doesn't lock up when gaming for hours and hours at the same speed, but TV implodes after 10 minutes or so.
His problem could be software. But it's a new system, so I'd lean more towards hardware being the culprit.

I think my case is pretty well ventilated...i have the aspire x-navigator with a fan on the front, side, back, and top. Also, the graphics card is the only expansion card i have so there's nothing blocking the fan on the card. And my system's not overlcocked at all.
The problem could be hardware but everything else about the graphics card works correctly....so i really have no idea. Thanks for you help. |

This confirms its likely software...
Have you tried ATI's support? Perhaps they have an idea on how to fix their own product |

Did you ever resolve this issue? I have the same problem with my newly built PC and AIW X600.

I think it has to do with the WDM Drivers...they should make different WDM drivers for different cards.
I gave up on getting my TV to work and I use it for video in for Nintendo and such. That and I hate my cable company and I'm cancelling cable so TV tuner does me no good
