Pretty simple problem, hard to figure out and search for.
Thanks in advance for any help on this issue.
I have a tv wonder pci, i just installed the 3 available drivers/apps from the ati site and installed in order. I've had this card working previously but don't know what's wrong with the situation now. I unchecked all other options on the multimedia center install in hopes that that would point out exactly what i needed to launch to watch tv. The only options now are configuration and eazyshare TV , and when i launch eazyshare tv no tv pops up, it just gave me the standard config menu with no channel selection or audio selection like the previous TV program, it just leaves an eazyshare TV application up in my start bar and nothing else. I don't have the original installation cd that came with my tv tuner otherwise i'd be using that (since it had a nice vcr feature for digital cable that was gone in newer versions i've used). Any ideas on what i'm doing wrong? |

Did you use Driver Cleaner inbetween becuase whenever that happens to me, either reinstalling MMC or using DriverCleaner or a combo of both helps.
Its really fiddly...you have to try installing things in different orders |

Yeah i did use driver cleaner, and that seems to be the root of the problem as it had worked before i did use driver cleaner to kill off a bad install of the 5.10 cats.

update: still haven't gotten it working yet, would it be possible to get old drivers off someone's cd? possibly an image to use with clonecd or alcohol.
I'm having a really tough time with this, and i've re-downloaded all the drivers and installed in every other way possible. i have to resort to begging. PLEAAASE!!! |

If you go to ATI's website and register and all that crap (put in fake info) you can get the old MMC's I believe

well... looks like it's a user error... for anyone having this problem, TV won't initialize on the dock if it can't find the card!
make sure when plugging in the cable that you don't dislodge the card out of the pci slot (although i didn't think this was possible when the card was screwed in). anyway, watching madtv now. thx |
