Hello everyone. N00b here. I was surfing the net trying to find some help for my problem, and noticed this site is very helpful and active. My problem is this: I just reformatted my HDD on my computer and my video card is no longer functioning correctly. The first time I installed it, everything was wonderful, but now I'm getting the Code 10 (Device cannot start) error for:
ATI WDM Rage Theatre Audio ATI WDM Rage Theatre Video NSP ATI WDM TV Audio Crossbar ATI WDM TV Tuner I have tried all the fixes I can find out there, including Omega's latest drivers, and still no luck. I did a complete clean uninstall and reinstall, no luck. My basic specs are below. Please help, this is driving me nuts. Also, I'm sure this is probably a repost, so if you have already helped someone solve this problem, please post the link. Thanks so much.ECS 848-P motherboard Pentium Celeron D 2.4Ghz Kingston 512 PC3200 RAM ATI AIW 9800 Pro video card Western Digital 160GB HDD Thanks, Carissa Last edited by AngelWarrior; Jan 2, 2006 at 08:04 PM. Did you install the WDM drivers? You are using Omega which comes sans WDM drivers.
I'd also try Driver Cleaner. |

Yup and yup.
I went home last night and tried Driver Cleaner, and I have installed the WDM's as well. Even after running Driver Cleaner and trying everything from scratch, still no luck. I have manually installed the NSP and SP drivers with no luck. *sigh*
I think my card is fried.Oh, I am running XP with SP2. -Carissa |

You could uninstall the the drivers and just reboot into windows then go to Device manager and right click and Scan for Hardware Changes and see if it sees it

When I tried that, the computer won't recognize anything except the monitor and secondary. Then I install the monitor drivers and it sees the WDM's, which XP then automatically installs. After that happened yesterday, I went in and manually changed the drivers to the NSP and then SP drivers with no luck.

Have you tried completely removing everything then installing or just doing combinations of both?
Also did you use stock drivers or only Omega's? |

I tried stock drivers and Omega's drivers. I have also tried removing everything and starting from scratch.

And it still doesn't work :|
Sounds weird but double check to make sure the card is seated right and all connections are snug |
