It was a pretty standard answer...United States. I dont see how selecting the USA would have messed the channel alignment? Am I off base here?

Have you tried just auto scanning the channels again?

Does your actual TV do that too?

The actual TV does not do that...only on my computer TV CArd which is messing with my mind. I tried searching for software that would reset the frequencies but couldn't6 find any...and I already did a rescan of the channels. Same thing happens!

While running the TV application check on the setup icon, TV Tuner tab, highlight channel 5 and click the Details button on the right for that channel. Check to see that the channel "number" matches the "tune to station" number - and let us know ok?
This is rather unusual...

I've tried other software, take for instance now...I'm using Intervideo WinDVR...I want to watch arena football on NBC, but I get basketball on ABC instead.
It hasn't always been like that and I'm not sure when the transition took place. I think it might have been while I was trying a 3rd party software. If I switch fro CABLE to ANTENNA I get NBC on channel 5. But when I switch back to CABLE, it reverts back to ABC. NONE of my other TV's in the house have this problem...only my tv card. Dan |

That's very unusual for that problem to happen on just the one channel and revert like that when changing from cable to antenna - interesting. Normally, a whole band of channels will be affected (2-6 or 7-13, vhf low band and vhf high band respectively). Standard cable signals and both VHF bands that cover channels 2-13 are identical in frequency.
Not knowing whether the individual channel control voltages for the tuner reside with the MMC software or in firmware on the card, it is diffucult to say if the fault is in the tuner or the software - yet. One way to know would be to revert back to the MMC version that shipped on the CD with your card and see if the problem is still apparent. If the problem persists when dropping back to the version of MMC that shipped with the card on the CD, I would have to say you have a problem with the tuner on the card that would require service (replacement).
