Winamp TV Tuner plugin

supports all manner of cards, including the Theatre 550 chip

Audio is tricky and poorly explained, but does work amazingly well....and anyone who has troubles with the "squeeking" from an ati/creative pairing in their machine needs to try this as it all but eliminated the problem

You can play it in a standalone window, or in the winamp video cell, which is what I use, and it renders in VMR9 or overlay, although VMR is the only way to get the on screen display. Channels are saved to your playlist, so the normal "next and previous" become channel up and down, and you can rename channels to station names or whatever, as by default they go in as "Channel # 32", etc

They should make one of these for Windows Media Player....that looks awesome though, I might have to download WinAmp

windows media player is harder to code plugins for, I believe is why they haven't.

I'd have thought it'd be easier, isn't there an SDK for that?

Yeah, I have it and it works great, the thing about the audio is that it can be routed through DSP plugins through winamp..well the beta version can... I also run into issues if I get a wrong setting..well certain ines because the app will not reopen to change the setting...what you have to do is erase the entry fron winamps pluing.ini then the plugin just goes to defualt settings and you can reset everything....but it is a cool plugin. anybody else have any good TV apps ?
