I am having a problem with using the Omega 8.05 driver set with the MMC 9.13
SPECS: AMD XP 2500+ MS XP SP-1 ATI AIW X800XT 256 Creative Audigy Platinum 2 sound card 2 Gig Corsair 3200 400 Gig HDD space If I install the complete suite from the ATI CD, and then upgrade to 9.13 no problem until I install the Omega 8.05 drivers. The reason I am going for the Omega drivers is twofold. 1. over the years they have proved superior. 2. The original drivers crash my system on some applications. If I then remove the CC and CCC Cat drivers and install the Omega drivers I lose the TV TITAN driver and get locked into a constant "NEW HARDWARE" cycle of menus for installing the "new Hardware." I have tried a complete uninstall of everything, and then a limited install of the ATI apps minus the CC and CCC, and then the Omega drivers. No joy. I have tried installing the Cat drivers, removing the CC and CCC and then installing the MMC from the CD upgrading, and then installing the Omega drivers. No joy. I have tried installing the MMC without the Cat drivers or CC or CCC by direct installation from the sub folders on the Application CD. Then the Omega drivers. No joy. Everything I have tried kills the TV driver(s). The other applications (File player etc.) work find. I have cleaned the registry, removed all ATI references in registry and the drives, prior to the reinstall and still cannot get this sucker to run. Any help would be appreciated. Did you use Driver Cleaner and CAB Cleaner?
I don't think you're supposed to just install Omega's over the stock drivers... you can install them on a fresh install of Windows, no need for the ATI Drivers if you plan on using Omega's |

Yeah. I have used the DC cab and driver cleaner (pro).
1: Clean system of all referrence (Driver Cleaner-reboot-Registry cleaner) 2: Install ATI MMC and associated W/O CC CCC or Drivers. 3: Update MMC. 4: Install Omega. 5: FAIL But I'll try again. |

Omega's just use the WDM drivers except you have to download them seperately.
But I do agree that ZP works better for me with respect to AiW video functions
