Can't get DVI working with X600AIW
I recently built an HTPC for some family friends using the x600AIW as the video adapter. The TV, although I can't remember the model, is a 60+ inch Samsung with component, SVideo, VGA, and DVI input.
Long story made bearable, I've been able to get DVI output to work in normal mode when there are no drivers installed and Safe Mode all the time. As soon as I install any video drivers, I can't get the TV to recognize the video signal once the computer is past the POST screens. The component video has fuzzier text than I'd like, and it's distinctly more clear even in Safe Mode when using the DVI connection. How do I get it to use DVI all the time? What is keeping it from being recognized when drivers are installed?

It might not be set as the primary display.
Why not try using a CRT and the TV then get the TV on DVI to work? |

ok.. just to clarify..
Does your x600 hve a dongle that has all the outputs on it... basically a square output similare that of a dvi port.. which you attach the cable to so you can plug in your monitors and whatnot? is this correct? if so.... then there are 1 vga and 1 dvi connector.. correct? Anyways, most of the ati cards have had the dvi and tv outputs sharded... and the vga seperate... if you try to turn them both on... dvi and tv..... they would be a cloned mode. Now you should be using the ATI CCC..... using the display manager... check and see if it even see the monitor... or tv..... i'm not completely sure.. but you may be able to set both to on and from there... i'm not sure...
