Have to keep enabling crossfire??????

Hi all

I recently had the DFI RDX200 which i returned as faultly and got the Asus A8R32 Mvp Deluxe.

on the RDX evry time you changed the BIOS settings you had to turn off Xfire and then enable it or on ly run single card. I thought this was a MOBO problem I was wrong, it is exactly the same on the asus board. I have unistalled reinstalled the drivers, fully formatted the PC but to no avail. Has anbody else had this kind of problem or any ideas what to do??

What you mean? I keep my crossfire disabled most of the time, so I wouldn't know. Videos won't play if I have CF enabled.

I dont watch videos so I wouldn't know. I presumed it to be like SLi and just kept on all the time as i only play games benchmarkand surf etc.

I am surprised you could leave it on all the time. What games do you play? Alot of my games would crash with CF enabled. And those that don't crash, some show no benefits.

I just changed my ram speed in BIOS with XF on, it works. And I got a ASUS A8R-MVP here.

hl2,counterstrike,call of duty2,oblivion,F.e.a.r all have shown fantastic improvements.

actually yes i have this problem before i run a DFI RDX-200 i made a profile for it and just activate it when i restart it doesnt really bother me that much im just happy i got it my crossfire working but i run x1600pro i was thinking it was because i dont have cables attached and it detects threw the mobo but i guess not lol just activate it make a profile aslong as your getting crossfire speed its really not that big of a deal i think.

The amount of agro I had trying to get my system to run stable I presumed it was just another problem so I posted hoping to get a fix. If it's not a grapx or a mobo fault then thats fine i just keep enabling it. But it would have been better if it remained enabled instead of having to disable then re-enable to get it to work.

i solved my crossfire problem by disabling my raid 3114 (thats what the bios said i think) then on top of that i disabled my second lan in windows and crossfire stoped getting disabled so a combination of thoes two things seemd to work though i wish my crossfire score was higher but i havent been tweaking that much im happy with the preformance side im getting!
