ATI X600 and CS:S

I'm sorry cause this was pry posted some where but after 2 hours of searching or so for the answer I just couldn't find it, I revently got the Omega Drivers for my card and when I play WoW and change the resolution it works fine, but when I change it in CS:S ro the 4:3 aspect I get some black bars on the side of my screen. I want to use the 1024x768 cause I can stay above the 100fps area. When I switch it to the 1280x800 so that I dont get the black bars my fps drops to like 15-30 area. Is there something I need to turn on to get this to stretch the image to full screen or something.

Looks like you have a widescreen monitor which will only give you black bar free image viewing in a 16:9 aspect ratio resolution
